How did you attract/address your audience?

In our opening sequence, we address the audience immeditialey by making it look like i open my eyes and see the audience, then a split second cut attracts the audience, as it appears as if they are looking through my eyes and seeing exactly what i'm seeing. This attracts my audience immediatley as they can experience what my character is, and also try to picture themselves in that situation. We were also able to attract our audience as we used a young innocent looking character that they may be able to relate to. We also attracted our audience immediately as the use of very odd non diegetic sound interests the viewers as to why it has been used.
